Shot in strong sunlight on DVCam with the lens disorted by coloured gels, I film a 'self portrait', using my own shadow stretching over a gravestone. This film consists of one single image repeated, meditating on abscence and loss.

This is edited to Gnossienne 3 by Erike Satie. The image is edited very closely to both treble and basss clef timings.

Filmed using still video images the only movement comes form the densely filtered images which carefully follow the rhythm of the piano of the left and right hand.
