Man: Alyn Gwndaf
Hovering between consciousness and dreaming, a man ponders his thoughts, memories and perceptions of reality, the last minutes before his death.
A film concieved in parallel with Artificial Sentience an earlier film in which a computer speaks a monlogue about exisitence and dying.
End Beginning was to be shot entirely on celluloid, in contast to the computer production and aesthetic of Artificial Sentience. End Beginning was finally made on DV and computer due to financial constraints.
The film stems from my interest in cybernetic cinema, artificial life and the films of the Whitney Brothers. All of the patterns are from programmed artificial life sequences.
