Shot directly from a computer monitor, over a period of many hours, this film compresses via fast timelapse and montage a series of internet screens from the late 20th Century.

This film resets the track 'Obssesed with You' by seminal punk band X Ray Spex in context of the internet, commenting on consumerism, corporate surveilance, cookies, browsers, branding, drop down menus, business and pornography.

'You are just a symbol, You are just a theme, You're just another figure for the sales machine...'

The song lyrics are spat as slogans across the screen and over the images.

The short film has become a snapshot and repository of the internet at the turn of the century, with logos of the millenium dome, super market slogans, early porn sites, and menus and brands heralding the birth of on line shopping.
